The California Pops' engaging, fun-filled programs are attracting growing audiences from throughout California. Last season's Carol Channing, Side Street Strutters, Big Band 30's and 40's Swing and Flying Karamazov shows brought in hundreds of new fans! New participants included groups from California schools and numerous clubs and media sponsorship included the fine folks of KGO. Due to increased demand the Pops doubled the number of shows and added a brand new venue in Los Gatos to the roster last season. New shows this next season will feature original movie and Broadway score orchestrations including Around the World in 80 Days, Treasure of the Sierra Madre and 42nd Street in addition to many, many audience favorites.
